I have experienced expert and professional care as a patient of Mr Tonsi. From the start to the end of my treatment Mr Tonsi was respectful and gave me all the information I required to make informed choices around various procedures that would potentially help me heal from an ongoing condition. My experience with Mr. Tonsi has been outstanding throughout. His advice regarding my severe ulcerative colitis was very clear and informative. He has a charming, kind, and reassuring manner, and I knew I would be in safe hands when he undertook a very long and complicated operation to successfully remove my colon by keyhole surgery and replace it with a stoma. His post-operative visits while I was in hospital recovering were also very thorough, and his follow-up appointments at outpatients included comprehensive examinations and valuable advice.

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer last year and needed an operation which Mr. Tonsi performed. The operation lasted for six hours, and all the cancerous growth was removed. I was fitted with an ileostomy bag while the bowel was healing. In December, I had the reversal of the ileostomy operation by Mr. Tonsi, and this operation was also a great success. Mr. Tonsi is an excellent surgeon; he is very kind and caring and explains everything in great detail. Mr. Tonsi literally saved my life, and I cannot thank him enough.

Mr. Tonsi, I don’t know how to thank you. The surgery was performed, and I have neither pain nor any bleeding. Additionally, I haven’t needed to take any painkillers, which are still sealed. In June 2024, I was diagnosed with a complex fistula. At the time I had a draining seton placed. I was informed that a second procedure would be needed, however I soon became pregnant with my daughter. Mr Tonsi explained the various treatments available and their success rates. Wanting to be as present as possible for my new baby, the VAAFT was the least invasive with the highest success rate and more chance of a speedy recovery.
Mr Tonsi and his secretary, Romina, were caring and supportive at all stages and continue to be available for after care support. Mr Tonsi is pleased with how the fistula is healing and comparative MRIs show remarkable progress.
On many occasions, Mr Tonsi has gone above and beyond. His clarity and approachability had helped me through a tough time, for this we cannot thank him enough.
